Lebanese Loukoum - Mastic

Loukoum is a family of confections based on a gel of starch and sugar. Lebanese Loukoum Mastic "Daabool Brothers" consists of mixing the corn starch and sugar, then the formed gel is flavored with mastic and citric acid. Originated from the Middle East, this sweet treat is known for its soft chewy texture and delicate flavor. Loukoum is eaten in small cubes dusted with icing sugar, solely or served with biscuits.
